As a child I gravitated towards books that beautifully illustrated bright colored sweets. The magic of gingerbread coming to life or rows and rows of colorful candy jars filled my mind with wonder. Christmas was my favorite time of year. I knew my mom would be a busy baker creating delicious and festive varieties of treats to share with those we love. I was raised to believe that there is nothing better than taking the time to make something special and wrap it up perfectly to present to someone. The joy of that moment when they light up… well, there’s just nothing like it. My love for sweets and the joy of giving led me to cake decorating. I began creating special cakes for my little one’s birthdays and after a short while I was hooked. The cakes became bigger and more elaborate, and the joy of giving grew greater. This passion paved the way to pastry school, and Sweet Charity’s Bakery was born.
